How it works
Enter a three- or six-digit hexadecimal colour. Normal text needs 4.5:1 for AA and 7:1 for AAA; large text needs 3:1 for AA and 4.5:1 for AAA. Large text is at least 18pt (24px), or 14pt (about 18.67px) bold. Pass/fail uses the unrounded ratio. This checks opaque, solid text/background colours only, not transparency, gradients or overall website accessibility. WCAG contrast guidance.
